The Dragon Chess Club
The Dragon Chess Club (Schackklubben Draken) is an adventurous three-part book series where the world of chess serves as the ultimate playground. The author is a Stockholm Chess Champion and frequently lectures on chess at libraries across the country. The story also offers insights into chess history and descriptions of actual chess matches. At the end of the book, there is a dedicated chess chapter for those who want to learn more. The 1:st part - Queenside Castling - is now available for an international audience.

Author Michael Wiander
Michael Wiander, one of Sweden's most-read children's authors, is a former Swedish Junior Chess Champion (ELO 2200) and a professional chess coach. He has also served as a leader for Schackfyran (Chess 4), the world's largest chess competition for children. Wiander is also the author of the hit series Dexter Olsson, which has over 50,000 readers. Since his debut in 2017, Wiander has published some 10 books, many of which have been selected by the Swedish non-profit Läsrörelsen as good examples of reader-friendly children’s literature capable of fostering the joy of reading. Wiander's most recent publication is a guidebook series on chess, ‘Drakens Schackskola’ (2024-2025), co-authored with the well known chess teacher Robert Danielsson.
